Kashi Panch Kos Yatra – Sacred Circumambulation of Liberation

The Kashi Panch Kos Yatra is one of the most ancient and revered pilgrimages in Sanatan Dharma. Scriptures declare that one Panch Kos Parikrama equals the merit of thousands of pilgrimages, as it encompasses the complete spiritual boundary of Lord Shiva’s eternal abode.

Kashi is believed to be untouched by time and destruction. Walking the Panch Kos is not merely physical—it is a total surrender of ego, karma, and identity at the feet of Mahadev. Each step dissolves past karmas, ancestral burdens, and inner impurities.

The yatra traditionally begins before sunrise and continues through sacred villages, ghats, temples, and cremation grounds, each holding deep tantric, Vedic, and Puranic significance. Silence, mantra remembrance, and conscious walking are integral to the experience.
